I was relying on the ability to configure my own proxy dialer (via the proxy package) for the websocket.Dialer, present in v1.5.1. This was removed when v1.5.3 was released. It looks like the latest version on master has reincorporated the relevant changes, without the spurious log messages. Would it be possible to have an official release with these some time soon?
