🚀 Welcome to ProxyMe!

Thank you for checking out ProxyMe, an open-source local AI Proxy Management Plugin for JetBrains Rider IDE!

⚠️ Important Notice:

ProxyMe is buggy as hell, and there is a lot of slop! This is alpha software--expect quirks. We encourage you to test, debug, and contribute!

ProxyMe lets you effortlessly control your local AI proxy servers from within Rider. Easily configure multiple AI models, manage API keys securely, and decide which models are available to Rider's AI Assistant—all in one place.

Current Highlights:

  • ⚡ Control and configure DeepSeek, Perplexity, Anthropic, OpenAI, and more.
  • 🔐 Security-focused: API keys stored outside version control, real isolation.
  • 🔄 Dynamic model management, per-model config, streaming toggle, custom endpoints.
  • 🛠️ Manage proxy servers (start/stop/restart) directly in the IDE, with real-time status.
  • 🧩 Template system lets you share and reuse model setups.
  • 📋 Extensive logging and health checks for easier debugging.
  • 💡 Tested and optimized for JetBrains Rider 2024.3, with Node.js v18+ and Java 17+.

We're in alpha! This project contains some AI-generated code and is evolving quickly. We value your feedback, bug reports, questions, feature requests, and especially security reviews.

How to get involved:

  • Try ProxyMe and share your experience.
  • Report issues and discuss problems—you can use GitHub Issues or start a Discussion right here!
  • Contribute to code, docs, and security best practices.
  • Keep an eye out for new features, rapid fixes, and more integrations.

Resources:

  • [README.md] for installation, features, and troubleshooting guides.
  • [SECURITY.md] for security policies and ways to report a vulnerability.
  • [ROADMAP.md] to see what's coming next.

Community-driven:
Let's build this together! Your comments, contributions, and testing help us make ProxyMe even better for all Rider users.

Welcome aboard, and thanks for helping shape the future of AI development tools!
