Software upgrade specification

After the Design Right software version 2.0 was completed, some defects and deficiencies have been discovered after a period of use, so the software is upgraded to fix these defects and deficiencies, and improve convenience according to user habits.

The purpose of the Design Right software upgrade is to improve the usability, reliability, and efficiency of the software.

The software interface buttons have been reduced from the original four to three. Only two of the original buttons have been retained: "Next" and "Previous," while two of the original buttons, "Save and Next" and "Save and Previous," have been removed. Additionally, a new "Save" button has been added.

The "Tools" menu bar is added to the software interface. There is an "Import from OCR" command under the menu bar. Clicking this command opens the text recognition window.

After opening the text recognition window, you can set the text recognition language in the new window. After the setting is complete, you can select a file for text recognition.

The text recognition window provides download link for the required text recognition models. Clicking on this link can automatically open a web browser and navigate to the respective web pages.

In the text recognition window, click the "Select a file to Recognize" button to open a new window where you can choose a file to recognize.

After selecting the file to be recognized in the text recognition window, if the current step requires filling in a table, a window will automatically be shown up to preview the text recognition results in table format.

On the text recognition window, clicking the "Browse" button is to select a folder in a new window, which contains the text recognition models. After selecting the folder, click "Select Folder."

After selecting the folder containing the required text recognition models, the software will automatically detect the models in the folder. If no models are detected, it will prompt that the folder does not contain any valid model files.

In the text recognition window, select the language type to be used through the drop-down menu in the "Select a language(s) for recognition" column.

In the text recognition window, after selecting the language type to be used in the "Select language(s) for recognition" column then clicking "Download" button, the software will automatically download and configure the corresponding language model.

During the download of the text recognition language model, the "Download" button will be disabled, and it will be re-enabled after the download is complete.

The software will determine whether the model file of selected language type already exists in the current text recognition model folder. If it does exist, a hint will be displayed, asking if the user wants to download it again. If the user clicks "Yes", the software will re-download the language model file. If the user clicks "No", the language model file will not be downloaded.

When the software is downloading the text recognition language model, if the download is interrupted due to network or other problems, the software will display an error message and remind the user to download again.

In the text recognition window, under the "Select the language for recognition" section, the software will limit the options for the other selection based on the chosen language. Specifically, when "English" is selected for the first option, any language can be chosen for the second option; but if a non-English language is chosen for the first option, the only choice available for the second option is "English".

In the text recognition window, click on "Select a File to recognize." In the new window, select the file to perform text recognition on, and then click "Open."

In the text recognition window, click "GPU - Need CUDA or MPS" to use GPU for text recognition. The software uses the "CPU" mode by default. These two modes are exclusive so only one mode should be chose.

In the table recognition preview window, you can use the "+" or "-" buttons to adjust the row and column pixels of the table, or change the corresponding pixel values by changing the sliders under the row and column pixel value labels.

In the table recognition preview window, after changing the row or column pixel values, the values below the changed row or column pixel value labels will automatically be changed.

In the table recognition preview window, click "Regenerate table", the software will calculate the recognition result based on the new pixel value, regenerate the table, and then display it.

In the table recognition preview window, click "Accept" to accept the current result, and then the software will automatically close the current window and display the result in the main window.

In the table recognition preview window, click "Abandon" to abandon the current result, and then the software will automatically close the current window and redisplay the text recognition window.

In the "Execution" section under "Establish task precedence relationship", add the functionality to automatically transform the table into an upper triangular form. Users can right-click on any cell in the table to access the "Shape to Upper Triangular" command. After left-clicking this command, the software will automatically convert the table into an upper triangular form.
