Feature Request: add "beta" schedule type to better support Chroma models #777

Closed
@MrSnichovitch

Description

I see that the "simple" scheduler is set to be added per #675 , and was wondering if it would be possible to add the "beta" scheduler at some point in the near future as well.

I'm currently running a "Flash" version of Chroma -- the silveroxides v47-flash-heun-8-steps-cfg-1-q8_0 one -- and manged to shoehorn the "simple" scheduler code into a local sd.cpp build (which is pretty much the extent of my coding ability, if you want to call it that.) It's running pretty well with the heun sampler at 8 steps, with much better image quality than with "discreet" in more complex prompts, but one still needs to up the steps to 12 or 16 to avoid artifacting. It's been said that the "beta" scheduler is the superior choice for Chroma, especially for the Flash models, and since FLUX-based models are more computationally expensive than SD-based ones, any saved steps would be a boon.
