About 12 hours ago I migrated from iota legacy migration tool to firefly wallet and the funds still haven't appeared. Do I have to wait longer?

When you migrate from the legacy migration tool you generate a brand new mnemonic/stronghold that you have to then import into Firefly, the funds should be sent inmediately to your funds. You can check the migration log to see to which address they got sent to and you can check the address you have in Firefly matches that one.

I think I copied the new mnemonic/stronghold but how do I import it into Firefly? In case I haven't saved that new stronghold and can't import it into Firefly, where are the iotas in the meantime? Thanks for your help Regards

You should have saved if not both at least 1 of them because that is your new mnemonic(key), the migration process states very clearly to keep your backups, it even asks you to verify your mnemonic to make sure you saved it, and also allows you to export your stronghold as an extra backup

where are the iotas in the meantime?

If you migrated, they only go to one place and that is the address that is generated using the mnemonic you were given, so you need what the tool generated for you to manage your funds.

If you really did not save anything you might still be lucky if you still have access to the machine you used to migrate because a stronghold backup is saved automatically in the system where the app is installed

  • Windows: %APPDATA%\Roaming\IOTA Legacy Migration Tool\__storage__/
  • MacOS: $HOME/Library/Application Support/IOTA Legacy Migration Tool/__storage__/
  • Linux: ~/.config/IOTA Legacy Migration Tool/__storage__/

You will still need the password you used originally to be able to decrypt the mnemonic in firefly.

How do I add my Stronghold file to Firefly? My new Firefly file has no records of any transactions and the balance is zero.

I have created a new profile by restoring using a stonghold file and the new restored wallet still shows zero iotas what else can I do?

If you migrated your funds and took the mnemonic from the legacy migration tool your funds should be there, the migration is almost instant. I suggest you join our discord to get further assistance https://discord.iota.org/, github is not our channel for support 🙏🏼
