Is there a way for hypothesis to automatically be activated and logged in across all sites? #6563

What I want: I'd like to log in Hypothesis once, and it'll be activated across all sites, so that when I visit a site that I even forgot that I have visited it 4 years ago and made some annotations, the annotations would still be visible, without me having to activate the extension and log in again.

Currently, when I visit a new site, I need to activate the extension and then log in. That is a very tedious process, and I may not remember to do that.

What's worst is when I have deactivate the extension for some reason, e.g., to debug something, when I reactivate the extension, I need to log in again across all sites.

I've digged through the Github issues, and found this one hypothesis/product-backlog#319, not sure if it's related to what I'm asking.
