It covers our progress from last 2 weeks and also shows our plans for next 2 weeks.

Development status

• 2.0.3 released as planned on 04/05/2022

Development update

Done (Sprint retrospective)

• Extend String to print 64-bit integers - PR merged
• DNSServer memory leak - PR merged
• Write a first Test case for Timer and create a manual for HW tests - PR merged
• fixing beginTransaction() thread safety - PR merged
• HTTPClient setTimeout hasn't any effect
• Setting DHCP IP-range start for softAP
• After 1.0.6 update WiFi won't connect to other network // connection time increased - fixed
• max() not accepting #defined values
• Commit c7cc causes heap corruption - Closed, no action needed
• Added compiler.warning_flags to platform.txt; fixing
• GetServices crashes in 2.0.0+ when connecting to heart rate monitor
• pinMode disables interrupts as a side effect

Under Investigation

• Unexpected light sleep and deep sleep behaviour on ESP32-S3 - still investigating
• WiFi connection unstable after updating to 2.0.X
• analogRead() returns bogus values when i2s DAC running

In Progress (longer term)

• MDNS special packet from Android App crashes and reboots ESP32/ESP32-S2 - Awaiting backport to ESP-IDF v4.4
• Native USB CDC hangs up on ESP32-S2 after about 320 characters - shaping (internal tracking)
• I2C Frequency - In Review (internal tracking), will be backported to ESP-IDF v4.4
• Add default 10MHz SD card frequency for SD SPI - shaping (internal tracking)
• ip_napt_enable_no defined in lwip/lwip_napt.h, but not there in precompiled lib - will be fixed in ESP-IDF v4.4.2
• I2C Master Wire.requestFrom timeout not obeyed, takes a whole second to read when slave is not present - internal shaping in ESP-IDF

Selected for Development (Next Sprint)

• ESP32C3 lib of ad-read error
• ESP32-C3 can not connect to WiFi AP (AUTH_EXPIRE)
• S3 sketch fails to execute when built on Linux (Ubuntu) but executes perfectly when built on Windows. Unexpected Maker S3 boards
• analogRead() returns bogus values when i2s DAC running - awaiting resolution
• function setBatteryLevel() in BLEHIDDevice.cpp is invalid
• Hardware serial sometimes doesn't send every data
• I2C slave cannot send data containing own address
• WebServer query params return wrong args count
• WiFi poor performance
• Peripheral Manager - Specification - write down specification & shaping

Community and Documentation progress

• Continue on more actively solved issues (quick response, assignees, labelling)
