Description

The functionality will be mostly similar to GitHub PRs and Issues and these could be looked at for inspiration.

  • UI Expectations
    • Phase 1
      • A Searchbar where a ticket could be searched using the title name. This would be below the top heading.
    • Phase 2
    • Future Possibilities / Wishlist

  • Functionality Expectations
    • Phase 1

      • The end-user should be able to open a ticket.
      • The end-user could edit a ticket, editing a ticket after opening it would result in edited status being displayed next to the ticket, there should be a way to see the edits when they were made and how the ticket looked after an edit. We could look at GitHub Pull Requests or issues for inspiration.
      • There should be some way to let the end-user (who opened the ticket) know about the status of his ticket like weather its is been approved, it's in progress, someone commented on the ticket?
      • The end-user should be able to view tickets opened by other end-users and comment on them.
      • There should be a search bar that allows search based on titles of the tickets, tags, or users who opened the ticket.
      • For Phase 1, Org Admin will perform the duties of the moderator.
    • Phase 2

      • There is should be a mechanism to notify the moderators about any ticket submitted on the platform they should have the access to review any ticket and the rights to make changes to the tickets and the rights to delete or change the status of the tickets.
      • There should a place to show the list of moderators.
      • There should be a mechanism through which the org admins can invite people to be moderators.
    • Future Possibilities / Wishlist

      • Tagging mechanism to tag people, the people who were tagged should be notified about it.
      • Maybe a central place to receive all kinds of notifications, from support tickets and other places within the platform as well.
