Bug Description

If I reject any new file claude is trying to write, it opens diffs with one empty buffer and one written buffer.
If I reject changes, then ask it to write again without closing the empty buffer - it crashes claude code.

To Reproduce

Steps to reproduce the behavior:

1. start claude code chat
2. ask it to write any new file
3. reject the changes, leaving "empty diff buffer" opened
4. ask to keep writing

Expected Behavior

we could either close the empty buffer with new buffer or simply keep writing with that empty buffer left open.

Environment

• Neovim version: 0.10.+
• Claude Code CLI version: 1.0.38
• OS: macOS latest
