Automatic movement is (or may become) annoying in specific situations, for example if you only want to move a few pixels to the right, you have to press D and RETURN (because return sets your direction to 4, which is for not moving at all).

By default you should only move to a direction when holding the Key, e.g. D for moving to the right.
