TL;DR
Hi team, currently the "Share workflow" screen is a bit cluttered so I made a quick prototype concept in figma.
I'd like any feedback on if we like this design and what functionality isn't accounted for / what I can fix. My proposal isn't the final version just a rough idea I threw together in an hour.

imageLonger context:
The main issues with the prior design is that there is no clear visual flow in how different parts in the page relate. Additionally there is the issue that private and public dominate the screen. While they're the most important aspects the specific sizing makes it look like they're tabs for the window instead of options which makes the whole experience confused.

This is cleaner. One thing though, this layout fits something like Google Docs where sharing with specific people is the main action. In Texera both are common: people publish Public/Private to the Hub just as much as they share with specific collaborators. Right now Public/Private is a small dropdown at the bottom while the email part takes the top, so I'd give the two more equal weight rather than making visibility secondary.

Do you have a recommendation on how I can expand public/private visibility without just making it bigger? I'd like to avoid bloating the UI if possible?

Sharing and publishing are actually two different functions. Maybe we can add two tabs, one for sharing and the other for publishing.

I suppose they're not actually related 🤔. Would we maybe want to steal the google docs split of a version history tab that the user can modify what the published version is, and a different share tab for sharing the workflow?

I made a small prototype to see how it actually feels to use, so this is the latest design I have

In general, I like the new design. We could integrate "Publish" into "Share."
