Analytics in Ionic Android #2774

Hi there,
Not really a bug more of a implementation issue or question so I thought I would ask here.
I'm using angularfire (@angular/fire@6.1.4) in my ionic (v5) app which works well.
I'm now trying to implement the analytics module. Straight forward enough and sends data from Web and iOS but doesn't seem to be sending data from Android.
If I enable debug mode I can see the "collect" data being sent but nothing ever hits firebase.
Anyone had any success with this?
