My name is Nikhilesh Singh, and I'm pursuing a B.Tech in Computer Engineering with a focus on Cybersecurity. I’ve worked on projects related to automated patch management, malware detection, and security logging using tools like Wazuh, TheHive, and Splunk. I’m also comfortable with Python and have experience with structured and unstructured security data.
I’m particularly excited about the "Processing Unstructured Data Sources for Vulnerabilities" project under VulnerableCode for GSoC 2025. I find the challenge of mining vulnerability information from changelogs, commit messages, mailing lists, and bug trackers both meaningful and aligned with my interest in security automation and threat intelligence.
I’ve started going through the VulnerableCode codebase and issue #251, and I’d love to start contributing. Could you please guide me on how I can get involved, perhaps through relevant beginner issues, or by helping parse and curate a small unstructured dataset?
Looking forward to learning from and contributing to this amazing project!
Best regards,
Nikhilesh Singh

Hi everyone 👋
I’m Gufran, a CS student and Python developer. I’m interested in contributing to VulnerableCode, especially around data ingestion, normalization, and APIs.
I’ve started setting up the project locally and plan to begin with a small issue or improvements in docs/tests.
Looking forward to learning from the community and contributing regularly!
