meta-description field uses encoded html tags #960

Open
@alexlehm

Description

LinkStack version

4.8.5

Description

When accessing a profile page generated with Linkstack, the meta description field uses html-encoded tags like "<p>" which ends up as html text in the parsed description for tools that evaluate the field, the cleaned-up code is in meta og:description which works better.

Details about your system

I am currently using linkstapel.de and linklist.me which both show the same effect

How to reproduce

publish a profile page and evaluate it with a tool that parses description, e.g. I used Linkding to bookmark
the result looks like this:

Possible Solution

I assume the file resources/views/linkstack/modules/meta.blade.php#L18 is reponsible, however there is a striptags call included, maybe this is done somehow differently
