On laptops using the Beta channel for Sequoia/Sonoma and keeping the battery energy lowish seems to work also. #2

I tried the Beta channel on an iMac and MacBook Air; on the iMac the badge/notification for a Sequoia Beta/RC arrived after about 3 days; on the Air it's been about 8 days and nothing; i haven't restarted it and use the Aldente app so that it mostly runs on Mains power and i keep the % between about 20 and 33 - so maybe the Maintainence wakes etc don't search for updates if the battery energy shows as below some set figure; I inadvertently charged it to 100% today and thus far no badge but it's only been a few hours.
