Could you details which animation you would like back? I don't see why this could not be possible but it will help if we can focus on where it's matter the most.

While avalonia ui is super fast and responsive, it feels kinda snappy, like a 90's app. I got used with the animation of the previous UI, when switching tabs (eg. installed -> updates) and when clickin differents settings. Maybe just a bit of animation won't harm, not too much though.
