question about ecj integration

Honestly, I hadn't considered this possibility. Yeah, this would
work, at least for the StringBuffer case.

Of the latter two choices I think it is better to do the work in jc1.
In some cases it might not matter, but some things may require
changing representations in a way not supported by the .class file
format.
