I know. You've been away for too long. ;)
As for the Win98 thing, I tried working with Jesper on this
but gave up because I ran out of time. This is as far as I

Last I (vaguely) remember, TJ Laurenzo submitted the patches
for this. I thought they were all approved and checked in,
although I thought a new libtool upgrade was needed. I
was only half-listerning at the time.
The missing piece of this is of course the "exceptions
across DLL boundaries" part. Did Mark Wielaard ever end
up finding "Google Summer of Code" recruits?

The SwingWT integration in my build solves this problem somewhat.
I've done more work in this area for a client (including some
minor Classpath bugfixes), but he wants to hold off on releasing
patches until the project is complete.

JamVM doesn't work on MinGW and is broken for Cygwin, last I
checked.
