These are instructions for compiling GCJ/MinGW *on Linux*
(or a UNIX system - I had once repeated the process as-is
on a Solaris 8 box using GNU GCC/binutils/bash, but I don't
know if this is still valid). I don't know if this would
work with Cygwin/MSYS on Windows.

If you're building on a Linux box, check if this file
(targmatch.sed) has CRLF endings (in vi/vim, you'd see
^M at the end of every line). If it doesn't, you probably
have an old version of sed and you might want to upgrade
it. If it does, remove the binutils source folder and
extract it afresh from the original FSF tarballs on Linux
itself.
As I said before, if you're on MSYS/Cygwin, I don't know
if the process given in the article works well or not. Try
a search on Google to see if others have faced this issue
or not.
