I guess we will learn from it (when it actually happens in full) and try
to work together with them wherever it makes sense. If you haven't seen
it I wrote a little thing about it in the context of GNU Classpath, on
which is the upstream for the core class libraries as used by gcj (and
almost every other free runtime/compiler out there at the moment):
