Importing new GNU Classpath release

Hi all,
GNU Classpath 0.19 was released last week and the gcc tree is unfrozen
again so we would like to import the new version. GCC will branch for
4.1 on November 18 so we will need to do it this week to get all the bug
fixes in.
0.19 fixes a large number of bugs and was pretty well tested already
outside GCC/GCJ. I would recommend to merge in the CVS version of this
weekend since there were some more issues fixed after the release (two
configure issues that are essential to have, plus a couple of ordinary
bug fixes).
I know several people are already using the merged tree and I have run
several programs and test suites which all seem fine. But I have not
seen any build/test reports for non-x86 GNU/Linux systems so if you have
something non-x86 or non-GNU/Linux please try out a merged tree and
report the results.
There is 1 (non-gui) regression with serialization of Proxy classes that
would have to be fixed. But this seems to be caused by the fact that
ObjectInputStream is a divergence in libgcj so should in theory be easy
to fix by backporting the correct classpath change.
If possible it would be nice if Andrew Overholt could rerun the eclipse
testsuite for the merged tree and Andrew Haley could do a rerun of the
jonas testsuite to make sure there are also no regressions there.
My proposal is to do the import/merge on Tuesday (15 Nov) so we have
enough time to fix any build issues before the branch is created might
they happen. But I need to lookup how to do such imports with svn (I
have also never done it with cvs). Pointers to documentation would be
appreciated.
