Actually the page people need is probably
http://gcc.gnu.org/java/build-snapshot.html
I have to look this up each time I build GCJ, and Google says it isn't
linked anywhere except for the mailing list archive:
http://www.google.com/search?q=link:http://gcc.gnu.org/java/build-snapshot.html
gcc.gnu.org is down right now so I can't check, but from memory that
page is very out of date.
I scanned it back when Hannes wrote the comment - it look ok to me, but
ofcourse I haven't compiled gcc that way, either, so what do I know...
Who's working on getting gnu.gcc.org back in the air?
You're quite right, though, the GCJ web pages are badly in need of an
overhaul. One solution, perhaps, would be to move a lot of the
existing content over to the wiki, where it can more easily be kept
up to date.
I think it would be really valuable to get people to use the Wiki, yes.
Many of the questions I pose on the mailinglist end up in "my own"
(future company employee) document. Instead these could end up in a wiki
faq...
