upgrading zlib?

If so, I am happy to defer this decision to you. 
(My opinion, FWIW, would be that you should do this import if (and 
pretty much only if) you can document that bugs are fixed or performance 
is improved; if not, then you're probably taking on a risk without much 
end-user upside.)
