Kind of. Everything should work as-is if you set LD_LIBRARY_PATH. 
Explicit linking against those libraries should work as well. Only the
class name to library name lookup and linking won't work.
But I'm not proposing a change anymore since I have an LD_PRELOAD hack
that works for me, and the long- (medium?-) term solution is to abandon
this plan once the BC ABI change is implemented.
Andrew - when do you think this will go into mainline?
