Trouble with simple CNI example

Hi
I am trying to learn how to use CNI with gcj. I have moderate Java
experiance but little C++ experience.
When I copy the example for Version 3 in FAQ 6.1, it does not compile. The
error is in the sampNat line that with callSTLcode(). It tells me that
this is undeclared.
How do I declare it and how has this error occurred. I am using version
3.3.3
