gcc-3.4.0's awt implementation outdated?

Hi there!
I've just managed to get 3.4 up and running with awt/gtk support built in.
However a lightweight awt based wich worked with the latest version of 
sablevm didn't work with gcj's awt.
All drawing funktions are called and no exceptions are thrown, but I 
simply can't see nothing.
Is it possible that the awt in 3.4 is a little bit old?
If yes, does anybody know where I can get recent snapshot pacakges of 
3.5-cvs. The snapshots on the servers are quite old (1 month).
