The site on fsf.org doesn't really help if you've a problem.
The only place where you get really great help is this mailing list 
(thanks a lot guys, you've helped me so many times - thanks!!!), but 
many quetsions are asked all the time again and it seems that some of 
the really great gcj-hackers are a little bit bothered about these 
questions.
I think maybe such a wiki and a php-forum (like phpBB) maybe could do a 
better job for beginners. The real professionals will still use the 
list, sure ;-)
However, you've heard my opinion, I think its a cool idea.
