1.4 was adding a lot of new classes, making it hard for classpath to 
catch up.
On the other hand, from looking at the beta, 1.5 will only add few new 
packages,
most improvements will be in the language itself.
This is good, because even if language improvements cannot be added quickly,
it is always possible to play with new features by compiling to class using
Sun's javac, and use gcj from there.
