after calling: 
 elm.hasAttribute("target")
(elm is a org.w3c.dom.Node recast as an Element)
I get:
java.lang.NullPointerException
 at _Jv_equalUtf8Consts(_Jv_Utf8Const, _Jv_Utf8Const)
(/lib/ssa/libgcj.so.4.0.0)
 at ActionNode.ActionNode(org.w3c.dom.Node)
(/home/com_/public_html/Thesis/src/v0.01/last/map/ActionNode.java:19)
any suggestions??
