Sigh. Good for you, bad for me :(
You were right that gdb was acting up in the first place. A printf()
quickly showed that there was noting wrong with the actual arguments
passed to the methods.
My tests indicate that something goes wrong with PosixProcess. Somehow
the CNI code doesn't set the instance fields correctly when
startProcess() is called. I hacked the method to return the outputStream
and in that case I can set/get it correctly.
But since you are not seeing this I am afraid I am chasing ghosts here.
So I have now blown away all my old builds and installations. Made sure
I have fresh checkouts of both 3.3 and 3.4. I have started the make
bootstraps and will now get some sleep. If I am lucky all my problems
will be gone when I wake up :)
