Hi list,
Two weeks ago I sent a mail to the maintainer of gnu.regexp asking
about his status of the license change to a libgcj compatible
license. I got no answer yet.
This makes me think he is not really interested. I thought about an
alternative. I found pcre [1]. I would like to link it dynamically
into libgcj. The problem is that I'm no lawyer and dont know about
the license implications. PCRE has a special license [2] and I dont
know if its compatible. Can someone enlighten me about this ?
If the license is okay would it be good to write a wrapper for PCRE to
use it in java.util.regexp ?
