Hi,
I'm the java.nio developer of gcj.

Normal ByteBuffer things work. mmaped stuff is on my disc only yet.

Charset stuff should work. Java standard encodings implemented.
regexp stuff still missing. We are thinking about using gnu.regexp but 
this has licensing problems.
I think about writing a wrapper for pcre. Perhaps thats an option for 
us.
