> Does anyone now a place where one can download a slackware-package of gcj? Slackware 9.0 comes with GCC and GCJ 3.2.2: ftp://ftp.slackware.com/pub/slackware/slackware-9.0/slackware/d/ However, you'd be much better off working with 3.3, at least for Java. Newer Slackware versions come with RPM and can easily install an RPM (some RPMs have excessively narrow pre-req version requirements, so this might not be that painless). If you have some time, you can very easily build GCC, including GCJ, on Slackware following the instructions at: http://gcc.gnu.org/install/ It's not as complicated as it looks. :-) Ranjit. -- Ranjit Mathew Email: rmathew AT hotmail DOT com Bangalore, INDIA.
