I don't know about the licensing issue.
Whether or not the kaffe peers -- or any peers -- will work with our
AWT is unknown. For one thing the java side of our AWT implementation
is known to be buggy. Parts of it are incomplete as well. And, as
the peer interfaces are undocumented, it is possible that libgcj and
kaffe disagree on how they should be implemented.
