See libgcj.spec on x86_64:
*jc1: -fhash-synchronization -fuse-divide-subroutine %{m32:-fcheck-references}\
-fuse-boehm-gc -fnon-call-exceptions -fkeep-inline-functions
You can see that it's easy to make the libgcj configuration depend on
the multilib.
