... a tactic which made them run away from the JRE in the first place. And
the winner is ... Microsoft, because they will build the dot.net
framework -- "our right to innovate" -- into the OS, putting an end to all
competition on Windows. And since dot.net applications will have their
difficulties running on anything but a sanctioned Microsoft framework, we
will be back to square one.
Fast and small executables. The faster and the smaller, the better.
