Dont know. But as I'm working on this stuff and never tested 
multicasting myself yet can you please send me your code so I can 
test it here (and probably fix it) ?
 I think the multicast stuff was never really tested (whoever 
implemented it). Same seems to be for other things in java.net like 
IPv6 support and more.
