MacOSX support

So I need to reformat to be able to build gcj under MacOSX correctly? 
Or should the case-sensitivity problems be fixed already as stated in 
other posts?
Also what is meant by 'serious problems' under MacOSX. Is it better to 
refrain from trying to build / use it?
