Moving java.net.Plain*SocketImpl to java.java.net.Plain*SocketImpl ?

Hi list,
I would like to move the two classes java.net.PlainSocketImpl and
java.net.PlainDatagramSocketImpl to gnu.java.net to make them "public
final" and add some public methods needed only by java.nio socket
channel implementation.
Currently I only need one additional method in each class returning
the native file descriptor to make it possible to use it in java.nio.
What do you think about this move ? Could this be a security problem
if this class becomes public ? Any comments ? Other ideas ?
