recommended test tool chain for solaris9?

Hi all,
what is the recommended test tool chain for solaris 9?
I run the binaries from sunfreeware.com (dejagnu, expect, tcl) and I 
mostly see this error when it comes to libjava:
ERROR: tcl error sourcing 
/opt/gcc/gcc-3.2-branch/gcc/libjava/testsuite/libjava.compile/compile.exp.
ERROR: can't read "x": no such variable
This happens from 3.2-branch up to trunk. The machine itself is an E2.
Any ideas, pointers I missed?
See the results, they look not that good.
