If someone is interested they can check the RMI patches that Intel
submitted a while ago to GNU Classpath which will eventually be merged
into libgcj.

Note that as far as I know Intel has not yet officially contributed
(meaning assigned copyright to the FSF) this patch set yet. But you are
of course free to play with it.
