libgcj needed on cygwin with gcc 2.95.3

Hi everybody,
I know the discussion of this matter (cf. subject) lies about a
year back and jon baniston had a running port of the libgcj.
Unfortunately I need it for a project at eth Zurich and it doesn't exist
on his website anymore...
So any pointers that could explain me how to build it myself would be
highly 
appreciated.
Maybe somone also has a copy and could send it to me - thanks a lot for
your help
