See the thread 'link problems under darwin5.2' about 7.1.2002 for a
complete story.
For short, when I have two files with the same name in different
directories and I try to archive, then the first archived file gets
overwritten by the second when I do it in two steps. With quick it
doesn't check the content it only appens the file.
The system I'm on is a darwin5.3 with a BSD ar from 93 according to the
man page, otherwise I don't find the version.
