There are still exception handling issues on IA-64 Linux. I think we have
adequate patches for them, but they haven't made it in yet. Basically we
need to:
1) Enable dwarf2 exceptions on IA64 in libjava.
2) Check in Andrew Haley's Itanium libjava exception handling patches. I
think there were concerns about checking these in as is.
3) Check in a patch for the IA64 unwinder in libgcc. There are problems
with the label_state and copy_state unwind directives. This started to
matter when gcc started using them. (This patch is mostly derived from a
kernel patch that came from David Mosberger.)
I will post the patch (3) shortly once I do a bit more testing. I will also
repost the others, so that we can hopefully make progress.
