Libjava failures status

This causes me some major headache now. First, the PPC box I'm on is
running darwin5.3. (Mac-OSX)
Then, when I fire gdb and set the args and then run I always get the
program exited with code 01. I can't bt. Is this due to the os I'm on?
Second, when I try to add the -save-temps I only get a .s file and an
empty .ii file (without gdb invoked). Could you use the .s file as well?
Or do I do somethin wrong here. Well I used this method at least
successfully with gcc, maybe the problem here is the g++ which is not
able to being debuged well?
What else can I try?
