printing exceptions?

Is there something definitely wrong with just changing --tag=CXX to
--tag=CC?
Otherwise won't we need to link against -lpthread twice? E.g.:
 gij_LDADD = $(THREADLIBS) libgcj.la $(GCLIBS) $(THREADLIBS) [ ... ]
That seems ugly.
