status of Classpath merge?

I was looking at the web page tracking the status of the Classpath
merge, and there seem to be quite a few unnecessary diffs; instances
where there are no substantive differences, just formatting,
rearrangments, and changes in comments. Usually the Classpath version
is definitively better.
Is anyone actively working on stamping these differences out? If not, I
may submit patches for some of them...
