We would like to release a version that works on Cygwin, but it
depends on what is contributed. As far as I know, nobody is working
on making this work.
On the plus side, Adam Megacz is actively working on making the
runtime work on Windows. So it is possible that only the "case
insensitive file system bug", plus perhaps some build issues, need to
be fixed in order for this to work.
So fixing the case sensitivity problems in gcj would be a good first
place to start. If you're interested, you could start by simply
debugging the failure that you're already seeing.
