DU uses the ECOFF object format. I think the support for that in gas/ld
is either missing or incomplete.

Neither the error nor warning make much sense to me. If _Jv_InitClass
were truly not found I doubt the program would run at all. I suspect bugs
in the runtime loader.
DU 4.0F has been reported to work with libgcj, so you might consider
updating your OS.
