successful(?) build of libjava on mips-sgi-irix6.5

Hi,
	Thanks to Rainer Orth's workaround he emailed Fri Feb 8
libgcj built. However, since I'm getting the following error
when I run the HelloWorld test, I'm sure I must go back and
rubuild from scratch:
./HelloWorld
463480:./HelloWorld: rld: Fatal Error: Cannot Successfully map soname 'libgcc_s.so.1' under any of the filenames /usr/local/lib/libgcc_s.so.1:/usr/lib32/libgcc_s.so.1:/usr/lib32/internal/libgcc_s.so.1:/lib32/libgcc_s.so.1:/opt/lib32/libgcc_s.so.1:
Don't cringe too much but I built the gcc part with the following configure
first:
../configure --enable-version-specific-runtime-libs --enable-languages=c++,f77,java --disable-multilib
In the resultant config.status this became
/usr1/goisman/src/gnu/gcc/gcc-3.0.3/configure --with-gcc-version-trigger=/usr1/goisman/src/gnu/gcc/gcc-3.0.3/gcc/version.c --host=mips-sgi-irix6.5 --enable-version-specific-runtime-libs --enable-languages=c++,f77,java --disable-multilib --norecursion
I guess the norecursion is a default which I'll have to change so I get recursion.
Also, I'll include --enable-libgcj because I have increased ncargs to the max.
Other than
../configure --enable-version-specific-runtime-libs --enable-languages=c++,f77,java
--disable-multilib --enable-libgcj
that's what I think the configure needs to build gcc,c++,f77,java and the
java lib (libgcj). If there are any other thoughts, I'd be happy to receive them.
Back to why I believe I need a rebuild. After my initial build, I tried to
piecemeal the builds once I discovered I needed libgcj.spec. I started
with libgcj, then discovered I needed to point it to fastjar, build_libffi, and
point to libffi; build_boehm-gc and point to boehm-gc, rebuild build_zlib and
point zlib to build_zlib. This eventually finished building libgcj. I
discovered the only install that worked was the one from build_libgcj. So
when I tried compiling HelloWorld, I discovered libs missing from boehm-gc
and libz that I manually installed.
I did it that way to see if I could get a finished product due to the
length of time it takes to build. I'll get back with you after I build
using the above configure.
Thanks for all the help and interest.
Philip
